Ronald McDonald House Charities Sydney Chapter
When Benji Marshall won the 2019 Sports Dad of the Year award he did not hesitate in nominating his charity of choice when donated his winning, it was always going to be Ronald McDonald House – they are an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing vital programs for families with seriously ill children.
“Seeing how much they needed to do around the place, and the kids doing it tough…..the work RMH do looking after families that are not from around here, RMH charities helps families stay together and close to the care they need when their child is fighting serious illness. Now that I’m a dad seeing what the families go through and the work that RHH does , I think the $5000 donation can only help add to their facilities and try to improve peoples quality of life.”

“Thanks to Benji Marshall’s donation we were able to purchase a few important items to manage the changes brought about by COVID -19.”
“We purchased a new chest freezer, to store ready-made meals for families to access while our Home For Dinner were suspended and families were limited in their capacity to go to Supermarkets. We also replaced all our mini bar fridges with medicine fridges for the rooms and new kitchen items and electrical items for our offsite premises.”
