Sports Dad of the Year 2024 Nomination (“Nomination”)

1. Information on how to nominate form part of these Conditions of Nomination. Participation is deemed acceptance of these Conditions of Nomination by each participant.
2. The Promoter is Philips Electronics Australia Limited of 65 Epping Road, North Ryde NSW 2113 Australia. ABN: 24 008 445 743.
3. Individuals must, during the Nomination Period, go online to www.sportsdads.com.au, follow the links to the nomination now page, accurately complete all required fields in the online form in full, nominate their favourite celebrity Australian Sports Dad.
4. The Nomination period commences on 24/06/2024. Final nominations must be received by 23:59pm (AEST) on 18/07/2024 (“Nomination Period”).
5. Multiple entries are permitted, provided that each entry is submitted separately and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Maximum of five (5) entries per entrant/household may be submitted per day.
6. Any cost associated with accessing the Nomination website is the participant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
7. Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.
8. Upon the conclusion of the Nomination Period, all eligible entries received during the Nomination Period shall be utilised to assist in the selection of finalists for the Sports Dad of the Year promotion, specifically concerning the celebrity Sports Dads.
9. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of nominations and participants (including a participant’s identity) and to disqualify any participant who submits a nomination that is not in accordance with these Conditions or who tampers with the nomination process. Suitable forms of verification are at the discretion of the Promoter. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
10. The Promoter and any of their employees, contractors and agents or employees of their contractors and agents, accept no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected nominations. All nominations are deemed to be received at the time of receipt by the Promoter and NOT time of transmission by the participant.
11. Neither the Promoter nor any of it’s employees, contractors and agents nor the employees of it’s contractors and agents, is responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any network, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or congestion on any network, or any combination thereof, or any other technical failures including any damage to participants or any other persons computer related to, or resulting from, participating in this nomination.
12. If for any reason the Promoter, determines in good faith and its sole discretion that this Nomination is not capable of running safely as planned, including but not limited to events such as infection by computer virus or bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, Acts of God, civil unrest and strikes, which might corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Nomination, the Promoter reserves the right and may in its absolute discretion cancel the Nomination and may recommence it on similar Conditions.
13. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct this Nomination and participation is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter may disclose such information to third parties involved in administering the Promotion, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, Australian regulatory authorities and the media. Unless otherwise advised, the Promoter may use the information collected for ongoing promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending the participant electronic messages, emails and/or telephoning the participant (at no additional cost to the participant), without any further reference, payment, or other compensation to the participant. All entries become and remain the property of the Promoter. Access to personal information may be requested by contacting the Promoter.
14. The information participants provide will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting this Nomination and for other purposes set out in the Promoter’s privacy policy. The Promoter may disclose participants’ personal information to contractors and agents to assist in conducting this Nomination. The Promoter is bound by the National Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Participants can request to access, update or correct the personal information the Promoter holds about them by contacting the Promoter. Should a participant’s contact details change during the Nomination Period, it is the participant’s responsibility to notify the Promoter. 15. Any attempt to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of this Nomination may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. The Promoter reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law against any individual/group, should such an attempt be made, whether successful or not.
